Early Start Intake Process - Birth to Age 3

To begin the Early Start Intake process a parent, or legal guardian* should contact IRC’s Early Start Intake department, either by completing an online referral or calling an Intake Coordinator. During this phone call, the Coordinator will gather information about the child in the following areas:

fine and gross motor abilities
cognitive development
communication both understood and spoken
self-help and adaptive abilities
social and emotional development

The Intake Coordinator will also discuss the reason for referral and any areas of concerns the parent/guardian may have about the applicant.
